Antonito struggled with assists on Saturday (the Miners had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Antonito took a serious blow against the Miners, falling 68-40. Antonito has not had much luck with the Miners recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Antonito had strong showings from Destanaya Quintana, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds, and Zanita Garcia, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Quintana is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Lake City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell 35-28 to Antonito.
Antonito's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lake City, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
