Tehachapi (Calif.) jumped out to an early lead against East Bakersfield (Bakersfield, Calif.) and never looked back on the way to a 42-0 victory on Saturday.
The Warriors put up 21 points in the opening frame. Tehachapi scored on a 
Jorge Garcia touchdown run, a defensive touchdown and a touchdown run by 
Skylar Valencia.
THS was up 35-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Garcia in the first quarter.
The Warriors expanded their lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. Tehachapi scored once in the quarter on a Garcia touchdown run.
THS's standout player in the win was Garcia. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.
Coming into the game the Warriors had allowed 27.4 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding the Blades well below their season average of 16.8 points scored per game.
With the win THS extended its winning streak to three games.
In a Southeast Yosemite game next week East Bakersfield (0-6) takes on Foothill, and Tehachapi (5-1) will go up against Highland also in a Southeast Yosemite game.
