Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shippensburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mark Carothers, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Janye Statum, who rushed for 165 yards.
Statum wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Shippensburg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since was before the start of last season.
Palmyra now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Shippensburg, their record is now 3-0.
