After flying high against the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets last Tuesday, the Bethel Christian Kings came back down to earth. Bethel Christian was dealt a 64-30 loss at the hands of Calvary Baptist on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bethel Christian has scored all season.
Several Kings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordyn Frazier-Mathews, who scored 16 points along with three blocks and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Coba, who scored 11 points.
Bethel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Calvary Baptist, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethel Christian will take on Cornerstone Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Christian is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Calvary Baptist, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bethel Christian at 7:00 p.m. Bethel Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
