Skyview is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Ridgevue is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Skyview Hawks will take on the Ridgevue Warhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Skyview won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They took a serious blow against Bishop Kelly, falling 87-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Skyview has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Ridgevue earned a 62-49 victory over Columbia on Wednesday. Given Ridgevue's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Columbia is ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ridgevue's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Javonte Boles, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Phillips, who scored 13 points.
Skyview now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Ridgevue, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6.
Skyview couldn't quite finish off Ridgevue when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 67-65. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ridgevue's Tucker Tiddens, who scored 19 points. Now that Skyview knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
