For the second straight game, Hargrave will face off against Hamshire-Fannett. The Falcons will welcome the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hargrave will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Hargrave barely beat Hamshire-Fannett the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 11-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
John Dolan was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other pitching news, Jesse Reyes looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Hargrave pushed their record up to 19-8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hamshire-Fannett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Hargrave's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Falcons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Hamshire-Fannett, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Hargrave continue to outrun the ball?
