After soaring to 36 points the game before, Waverly/South Shore faltered in their contest on Friday. They were given a punishing 0-48 defeat at the hands of Britton-Hecla. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Waverly/South Shore of the 8-55 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head.
The loss dropped Waverly/South Shore's record to 2-5. Britton-Hecla added further sheen to their flawless record, now 7-0.
Next week Waverly/South Shore take on Deuel at 7:00 PM. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat. As for Britton-Hecla, they will face off against Great Plains Lutheran. Great Plains Lutheran are limping into the matchup on a seven-game losing streak.
