Scranton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt West Side on Tuesday.  In other batting news, Scranton let  Addie Layes (2026) and  DeLaney Mainer (2026) run wild. Layes (2026)  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base, while  Mainer (2026)  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most  hits  Mainer (2026) has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emey Pierce (2028), who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Scranton pushed their record up to 11-2 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. As for West Side,  with the  defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.
 Coming up, Scranton will host Magazine  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for West Side, they will venture away from home to  face off against Calico Rock  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
