North Point has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the McDonough Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully North Point focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Monday.
Even though Chopticon scored an imposing 57 points, North Point still came out on top. North Point skirted past the Braves 59-57.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Point to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landhn Mathis, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Robert "rt" taylor, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, McDonough's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Charles.
North Point pushed their record up to 8-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for McDonough, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3.
North Point and the Rams were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but the Eagles came up empty-handed after a 78-77 defeat. Can North Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
