Uintah is 1-7 against Mountain View since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Uintah Utes will head out on the road to challenge the Mountain View Bruins at 7:00 p.m. Uintah is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Uintah suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 77-51 defeat at the hands of Timpanogos. Uintah was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.
Uintah's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dauson Gardiner, who scored 16 points along with three blocks and two steals, and Brayden Murray who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
Mountain View won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Provo on the road and fell 67-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mountain View has scored all season.
Uintah has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Mountain View, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.
Things could have been worse for Uintah, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-55 loss to Mountain View in their previous meeting on January 9th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mountain View's Conner Fairbanks, who scored 33 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Now that Uintah knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
