The Jefferson County Warriors are taking a road trip to  take on the Northeast Raiders  at 8:30  p.m.  on Friday. Jefferson County is looking for their season?s first  victory.
 Jefferson County's offense might be in the hot seat  on Friday considering what happened against Academy for Classical Education  on Friday. They were  outmatched by the Gryphons at home  and fell  45-0.
 Meanwhile,  everything came up roses for Northeast on the road  against Washington County on Thursday as the  squad secured  a  41-9 win. The Raiders pushed the score to  41-2 by the end of the third, a deficit the Golden Hawks cut but never quite recovered from.
  Nick Woodford went supernova for Northeast, rushing for 218 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of  Reginald Glover, who rushed for 105 yards on only 13 carries.
 Glover wasn't the only one working in the  rushing yards department: Northeast was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 381  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since  back in September of 2023.
 Northeast's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as  Santana Balkcom,  Jarvaris Morgan, and  Emmanuel Thorpe picked up one apiece. Balkcom also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up  two  sacks and making eight total tackles in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northeast, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with that  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
