The Discovery Canyon Thunder's and the Palmer Ridge Bears's contest on Wednesday was close at halftime, but the Discovery Canyon Thunder turned on the heat in the second half with 40 points. Discovery Canyon blew past the Bears 55-31. The win was familiar territory for Discovery Canyon who now have four in a row.
Noah Eckles continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Jones, who scored six points.
Despite the loss, Palmer Ridge still got an impressive performance from Alex Kraft, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Bolko, who scored seven points.
Palmer Ridge struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Discovery Canyon has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Palmer Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lutheran the next time they take the court. Palmer Ridge will head out to face Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Discovery Canyon will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
