DASH is 1-7 against South Wake since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The DASH United's road trip will continue as they head out to face the South Wake Sabres at 8:30 p.m. on January 26th.
DASH suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Chatham HomeSchool on the road and fell 88-34. DASH was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-14.
Meanwhile, South Wake stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat O'Neal 80-23 at home. The win was familiar territory for South Wake who now have three in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Avery Lubenco, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Lawson Jurgens was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
DASH now has a losing record at 8-9. As for South Wake, their victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
DASH was taken down by South Wake 76-33 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jurgens, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
