Cornerstone Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Southern Prep Academy Fighting Rangers, posting a 42-14 win. The Chargers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight dating back to last season.
Cornerstone Christian was led to victory by Jadon Dxion and Nathan McKnight. Dxion rushed for 67 yards and one score on only six carries, while McKnight rushed for 16 yards and one TD.
Cornerstone Christian's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. In that department, Malachi Adams was the leader with two sacks. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
