The Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 55-23 defeat at the hands of Englewood. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART has not had much luck with Englewood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Alex Harkness had an outrageously good game for Englewood as she scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harkness has scored at least 25% of Englewood's points. Another player making a difference was Jaliyah Mora, who scored 14 points.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for Englewood, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Englewood, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fort Lupton at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Fort Lupton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Saturday.
