The Marshall County Marshals will take on the Henderson County Colonels at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marshall County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Marshall County's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Caldwell County 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Marshals in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.
Mitchell Reid looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hudson Doughty, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Kannon Dunn, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
While Henderson County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Muhlenberg County by a score of 5-2 on Monday.
Maddox Golday looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Wyatt Holland was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Siewert, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Marshall County's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Henderson County, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Marshall County got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Henderson County by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Marshals repeat their success, or do the Colonels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
