A well-balanced attack led the Del Oro Golden Eagles over the Oak Ridge Trojans in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Del Oro blew Oak Ridge out of the water with a 66-39 final score. Del Oro pushed the score to 52-28 by the end of the third, a deficit Oak Ridge had little chance of recovering from.
Jake Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with five rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Caden Pinnick, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Del Oro has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Oak Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.
Del Oro will head out on the road to face off against Granite Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Del Oro's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Oak Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Folsom at 7:30 p.m. Folsom has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 560 points over their last eight matches.
