If the Era Hornets were riding high off their 81-39 takedown of the Chico Dragons on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Era fell 45-36 to Tioga on Friday. Era lost against Tioga in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-57 score last time.
Tioga's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake David, who scored 19 points. David continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocky Urich, who scored ten points.
Era's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Tioga, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Era will head out on the road to face off against Alvord at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alvord knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Era likes a good challenge. As for Tioga, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chico has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17.
