The Torrey Pines Falcons can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past El Camino 73-44 at home. The win was familiar territory for Torrey Pines who now have four in a row.
It was another big night for Matin Madadkar, who scored 22 points. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Kail, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
El Camino's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Pomare, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Shawn Sidiqi, who scored eight points.
Torrey Pines is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for El Camino, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
Torrey Pines will stay at home for another game and welcome San Dieguito Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. San Dieguito Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Torrey Pines is ranked 38th). As for El Camino, they will head out on the road to square off against Sage Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
