The Carbon Dinos are taking a road trip to square off against the Morgan Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Carbon's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Emery by a score of 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dinos.

Xander Pappas
| 04/15/26 vs Union | 4 |
| 03/17/26 vs East | 4 |
| 04/07/26 @ North Sanpete | 2 |
| 03/27/26 @ Manti | 2 |
The result came thanks to Xander Pappas's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Carbon is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-12 otherwise.
At the plate, Carbon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacen Urbanik, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Curtis Jones also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Morgan made sure to put some runs up on the board against East on Wednesday. The Trojans walked away with a 10-6 win over the Leopards.
Easton Venz was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Owen Gilson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Morgan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Morgan's record is now 13-10. As for Carbon, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 8-14.
Carbon came out on top in a nail-biter against Morgan in their previous matchup back in May of 2019, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dinos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
