It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Princeton Bulldogs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Rosewood by a score of 39-32. The win was just what Princeton needed coming off of a 49-28 loss in their prior match.
Kaydon Roberson was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with 5 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Princeton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Johnson, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Princeton's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Rosewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeton will challenge C.B. Aycock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (C.B. Aycock is ranked 334th, while Princeton is ranked 311th). As for Rosewood, they will head out on the road to face off against North Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Johnston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
