Clawson is a perfect 6-0 against Clintondale since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clawson has seven straight victories, Clintondale has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Clawson made easy work of Hazel Park and carried off a 10-2 win. Considering the Trojans have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Shane Dunlap spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Clawson got a massive performance out of Elliott Groves, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those four hits gave Groves a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nick Therrien, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Clintondale came up short against New Haven on Monday, falling 19-3.
Clintondale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edward Pearson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Those RBI were Pearson's first of the season.
Clawson pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Clintondale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Everything went Clawson's way against Clintondale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Clawson made off with a 16-1 victory. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
