The McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Robertsdale 78-42 at home. McGill-Toolen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Robertsdale still got an impressive performance from Gabe Stevens, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Washington, who scored six points.
McGill-Toolen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Robertsdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.
McGill-Toolen will be playing at home against Baldwin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robertsdale won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Satsuma at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th. Satsuma is on a four-game streak of home losses, Robertsdale a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
