The Corning Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Red Bluff on the road by a decisive 53-38 margin. Corning lost against Red Bluff in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-47 score last time.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Roman Bennett, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaidan Raker, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Red Bluff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Ross, who scored 7 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Ortiz, who scored 8 points.
Corning's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Red Bluff, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Corning will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against West Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Red Bluff, they will face off against Arcata at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Arcata focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
