The Frederick Golden Eagles won the last time they faced the Niwot Cougars, and things went their way on Thursday too. Frederick came out on top against Niwot by a score of 60-49.
Marcus Garcia continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points along with two steals. Zach Burton was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
The win got Frederick back to even at 5-5. As for Niwot, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Frederick will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Northridge at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Drake Walker and Garcia. As for Niwot, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Mountain View is ranked 227th, while Niwot is ranked 232nd).
