The Clewiston Tigers stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Glades Central 44-22. The win made it back-to-back wins for Clewiston.
Clewiston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malaya Gray led the charge by scoring 15 points along with four steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gray has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Abria Askew, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Clewiston's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Glades Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clewiston will square off against the Cowboys/Cowgirls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glades Central, they will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Coral Springs Charter's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Raiders have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
