Aliyah Harris continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lake Mead Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Newton, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Awaken Christian earned a 42-29 win over American Heritage Academy on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Awaken Christian.
Phoenix Sharp was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Sharp is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kaylee Rasmussen was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals.
Lake Mead Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Awaken Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
