The Lakeside School Chiefs lost against the Chambers Academy Rebels last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lakeside School was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to Chambers Academy. Lakeside School has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Lakeside School still got an impressive performance from Chloe Helms, who scored 25 points. That was a full 50% of Lakeside School's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Seaborn, who scored 12 points.
Lakeside School's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Chambers Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Abbeville Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Lakeside School will head out to face Abbeville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Chambers Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
