It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Malcolm Clippers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 52-43 win over Plattsmouth. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Malcolm also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Carson Frank was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Schmidt, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Plattsmouth still got an impressive performance from Gage Olsen, who scored 19 points along with 6 assists. Henry Loontjer was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Malcolm's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Plattsmouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Malcolm will head out on the road to face off against Auburn on Friday. As for Plattsmouth, they will be playing at home against Mount Michael Benedictine at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
