High Point Central has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Atkins Camels at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully High Point Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Friday.
Last Friday, High Point Central took a serious blow against Ben L. Smith, falling 79-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for High Point Central in their matchups with Ben L. Smith: they've now lost seven in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jack Carter, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Adonai Tyrance, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Northeast Guilford scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Atkins still came out on top. Atkins walked away with a 70-59 win over Northeast Guilford. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Atkins.
High Point Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Atkins, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16.
High Point Central was able to grind out a solid win over Atkins in their previous meeting back in January, winning 63-55. Will High Point Central repeat their success, or does Atkins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
