After a string of three wins, the East Central Cardinals's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Booker T. Washington 78-43. East Central has not had much luck with Booker T. Washington recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Booker T. Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rickey Bruner ||| led the charge by scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Barron Harris jr., who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
East Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Booker T. Washington, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Central will take on Claremore at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker T. Washington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Grove at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Grove is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
