Susquehannock and Kennard-Dale are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Warriors will welcome the Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
On Wednesday, Susquehannock came up short against New Oxford and fell 6-2. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Colonials: they've now lost three in a row.
Susquehannock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Krebs, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kennard-Dale, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Eastern York on Wednesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Golden Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Noah Hoffer and Micah Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Hoffer went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI, while Smith went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Smith has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Chenoweth, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Kennard-Dale's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Susquehannock, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Susquehannock has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kennard-Dale struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Susquehannock suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Kennard-Dale in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
