Basketball Recap: Garden Valley Piles Up the Points Against Tri-Valley

Garden Valley won the last time they faced Tri-Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Garden Valley Wolverines took their contest with ease, bagging a 74-46 victory over the Tri-Valley Titans. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Garden Valley to victory were Cody Perrin and Maxon Yearsley. Perrin went 6-for-10 to rack up 21 points in addition to five assists and five steals, while Yearsley shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Yearsley a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (71%). Another player making a difference was Conor Ross, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Garden Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Garden Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. With the defeat, Tri-Valley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-12.

Garden Valley has already played their next game, a 66-37 win against Greenleaf Friends Academy on the 26th. Tri-Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
