If Berry was feeling good fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Vina last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Berry Wildcats fell just short of the Curry Yellowjackets by a score of 9-7 on Monday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

John Wesley Scarbrough made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Lake Norris also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Berry's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Curry, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.

Coming up, Berry will welcome Phillips at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Curry, they will challenge Fayette County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
