The Windsor Warriors won the last time they faced the Southington Blue Knights, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Windsor narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Southington 56-54.
Despite the loss, Southington still got an impressive performance from Lily Cooper, who shot 4-for-10 from deep and dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cooper has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Blanchard, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Windsor's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Southington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will be home for the holidays to greet Newington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southington, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Glastonbury at 6:45 p.m. on December 21st.
