Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University Academy Charter). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-59 victory over the North Platte Panthers on Monday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Gryphons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Panthers are ranked 36th).

University Academy Charter pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for North Platte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-2.

University Academy Charter will head out to challenge Barstow at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Platte has already played their next matchup, a 64-19 win against Van Horn on the 15th.
