Capitol - North recap September 17, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Capitol - North this week, Lodi beat Belleville/Albany 45-7,. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Blue Devils.
Columbus scaled the state rankings by moving to 122 from 166 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cardinals climbed the ranks as a result of topping Nekoosa 20-13.
Lake Mills's Collin Moen and Chandler Buth have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Moen has thrown for 625 yards this season, while Buth has 16 catches for 233 yards. Lodi's Garrett Bollant leads the league in rushing yards with 343.
As it stands, the L-Cats are in fifth, while Dave Puls' team is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Lake Mills and the Blue Devils face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Dan Ferkovich's team comes in having scored 98 this season, while Lodi has scored 102. The L-Cats scored 20 points last week as they fell to Wautoma.
Lakeside Lutheran took down Wisconsin Dells 53-2 last week, the largest margin of any game.
