The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans will challenge the Bethany Community Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wesleyan Christian Academy will bounce into Monday's game after beating Metrolina Christian Academy, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors on Friday, sneaking past 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Alexis Emery was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Emery wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Juliana Abantohollans, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Abantohollans has posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, while Bethany Community put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Carver. The Wolves blew past the Yellowjackets 20-0. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Bethany Community let Olivia Baker and Leah Denny run wild. Baker scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Denny scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Rakestraw, who scored two runs and stole a base.
Bethany Community hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
The win made it two in a row for Bethany Community and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.
Wesleyan Christian Academy took their victory against Bethany Community when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-7 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
