Greene came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 45-36 win over the Unatego Spartans. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Trojans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Spartans are ranked 15th).

Greene's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Unatego, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Greene will head out to square off against Delaware Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Unatego, they will host Cherry Valley-Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
