Chesterfield's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Terrahjah Robinson, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Kierra Diggs, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Diggs has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Trinity Turnage was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat York Prep 96-27 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 65-14.
Tamia Watkins was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 36 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Andrew Jackson's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayona Alexander, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Chesterfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Andrew Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
