Academy for Classical Education waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Calvary Christian Knights a 7-0 shutout. The Gryphons' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Academy for Classical Education's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy for Classical Education will challenge Brookstone at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Academy for Classical Education knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Brookstone likes a good challenge. As for Calvary Christian, they will take on St. Anne-Pacelli at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
