Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask First Flight). They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging an 86-38 victory over the Lawrence Academy Warriors. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Nighthawks had established a 43 point advantage.

First Flight's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lex Jackson, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Dobie, who earned 13 points.

When it comes to explaining why Lawrence Academy lost, don't look at Nike Wiggins. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Wiggins a new career-high in rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for First Flight and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Lawrence Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

First Flight will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Manteo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Manteo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Lawrence Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-56 loss against Rocky Mount Academy on the 17th.
