While Wynne's victory against Forrest City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellowjackets skirted past the Mustangs 29-26. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Forrest City lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kevin Young, who rushed for 106 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 80 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Roderick Tiswell was another key player, rushing for 95 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

The victory got Wynne back to even at 1-1. As for Forrest City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wynne will take on Lonoke at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Forrest City, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rivercrest at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
