The Idea Timberwolves were the 56-48 winner over the Eastern Ramblers when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Idea was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 60-59 to Eastern. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (55), Idea still had to take the loss.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sidy Koite, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Koite is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jaden Bradley was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Rashid Faruq had an outrageously good game for Eastern as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Isyah Joyner, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Idea has fallen quite a ways from their 23-9 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Eastern, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Idea won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Digital Pioneers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Eastern, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Friendship Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m.
