It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Aiken ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over Strom Thurmond. The win made it back-to-back wins for Aiken.
Even though Dutch Fork has not done well against Irmo recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Dutch Fork secured a 48-43 W over Irmo. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but Dutch Fork was the better team in the second half.
It was another big night for Bryson Taylor, who scored 27 points. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Bogan, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Aiken's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Dutch Fork, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
