Redmond has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the North Creek Jaguars at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Redmond didn't have too much trouble with Bishop Blanchet at home as they won 56-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Redmond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yuki Willis, who scored 12 points along with 5 steals. Willis is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Isabel Schneider was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, North Creek really took it to Mount Tahoma for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-35 win at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Creek.
Mikah Hammerquist had a dynamite game for North Creek, scoring 29 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hammerquist has scored at least 25% of North Creek's points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Bareither, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds.
Their wins bumped Redmond to 3-0 and Bishop Blanchet to 1-1.
Things could have been worse for Redmond, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-33 loss to North Creek in their previous matchup back in January. Can Redmond avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
