The Dunbar Wolverines fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Chaminade Julienne Catholic Eagles on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Eagles 63-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Dunbar's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Brewer jr, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Moses Sanford iv, who scored 13 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Dunbar and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunbar will take on Thurgood Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Thurgood Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Dunbar is ranked 235th). As for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, they will be playing at home against Bellbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
