This season hasn't been kind to the Ten Sleep Pioneers, who are still winless after their fifth match. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 40-16 walloping at the hands of Meeteetse on Tuesday. Ten Sleep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Meeteetse to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayla Horsen, who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, nine rebounds, and 13 steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Horsen has scored at least a third of Meeteetse's points. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Bass, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Ten Sleep's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Meeteetse, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Burlington the next time they take the court. Ten Sleep will head out to face the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Longhorns will head out to face them on Friday.
