Potomac Valley II recap October 1, 2013
East Hardy added to the longest winning streak in Potomac Valley II this week by beating Tygarts Valley, 36-3. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Cougars.
Pocahontas County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on Richwood.
Pendleton County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcat feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Luke Yokum has thrown for 806 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Dyllan Wimer has 23 catches for 305 yards. Yokum also leads the league in rushing with 264 yards.
An important game coming up in Potomac Valley II this week will be when Pendleton County takes on East Hardy. The Wildcat are currently in fifth, while the Cougars are in first.
Pendleton County made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,561 from 12,759. The improvement was largely due to a 28-13 victory over Rod Cooper's team last week.
