Chesterton waltzed into their matchup  on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Merrillville Pirates. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the   3-1 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2024.
 Chesterton walked away with the   victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18,  25-9.
Among those leading the charge was   Adam LeNeave, who  had ten  digs and three  aces. What's more,  he posted four  assists, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.  Ryan Tucker also deserves some recognition as  he  had his first  dig of the season.
 LeNeave wasn't the only good server: Chesterton  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with ten  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Merrillville only  served three  aces.
Chesterton's record is now 13-1. As for Merrillville, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  at home.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chesterton is set to  challenge  their familiar foe La Porte  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Merrillville will  take on  rival Westville  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
